It thrives in dappled light, warm temperatures, and moist, humid conditions, but can be sensitive to underwatering.

While it is known to flower in its natural environment, it is less common for it to do so when grown indoors. Nonetheless, the striking variegation of its foliage is reason enough to make this plant a showstopper in any indoor space.
